Dr. Lahroud (She/Her/Hers) is a graduate of the School Psychology Program at UT Austin, where she received specialized training in evidence-based interventions, psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational assessments, and consultation with school professionals, mental health professionals, developmental therapists, and physicians. She received her predoctoral internship training in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center - Children's Psychiatric Center, and she subsequently completed her Post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology at Texas Children's Hospital, where she specialized in treatment of mood and anxiety disorders and multidisciplinary evaluations for AD/HD and neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder. She worked as a Clinical Child Psychologist and Assistant Professor at Texas Children's Hospital and in local school districts as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology who led the Early Childhood Evaluation Team, and she was a Consulting Psychologist with Early Childhood Intervention services. During the course of her training and professional experiences, she has worked in a variety of settings and levels of care. Dr. Lahroud utilizes a multidisciplinary collaborative approach in working with families, educators, and professionals, with the aim of best supporting the needs of her clients.


Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Lahroud has extensive experience providing bilingual psychological services to clients and has presented on culturally responsive care, early childhood development, and supporting youths with anxiety and depression.


She strives to provide compassionate, client-centered care informed by evidence-based practice, and areas of specialty include:


Therapy:

· Anxiety – generalized, social, test-taking, and situational

· Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

· Depressive Disorders

· Phase of life challenges and adjustment related difficulties

· Supporting emotional adjustment and social skills for youths and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

· Parent Consultation for behavior concerns and emotional regulation

Under the authority of PSYPACT, Dr. Lahroud is able to practice telepsychology in multiple states across the US that are participating PSYPACT states, which allows her to continue providing care for clients who move out of state. Participating PSYPACT states can be found through this link.
