Consultation

Consultation appointments are the first step in identifying a direction to go into, but these services can be provided without additional testing, prior to receiving any services, or after the evaluation process is complete. The TPACenter psychologists work hard to help our clients identify and fully understand the complexity of their challenges, whether they are emotional, academic, career, or goal-oriented. These meetings can be telehealth for ease of scheduling, and to allow us to serve a broader area. 

Consultation appointments can occur in cases where parents are seeking guidance on how to navigate the special education system at their child's school, for help understanding accommodations vs. special education, or for help fully understanding and grasping the contents of an evaluation report completed by a school or another clinic. Consultation can also be a model to utilize when parents need support in fully implementing recommendations that are made as the result of therapy or testing. 

Our providers also enjoy helping parents prepare for special education meetings or 504 meetings through consultation.
